Worth It Wednesday: Can growth serum unleash your lashes?
I have basically zero eyelashes, so I lust after long and pretty (but natural looking) lashes. However, it is difficult for me to apply false eyelashes because of my eye shape and eyelid type. I am also NOT dedicated enough for lash extensions (and I’m too frugal!). Even though I was skeptical, I started looking into eyelash serums to see if MAYBE I could make them visible (but maybe I’m destined to only have a lot of hair on my head haha). There are several eyelash growth serums on the market with great reviews, but they are pretty pricey. I soon discovered the Dime Beauty Eyelash Boost Serum, a newer and more affordable option with great reviews.
What is Dime Beauty?
Dime Beauty carries products with CLEAN ingredients. They are vegan AND cruelty free, and the products come in sustainable packaging. The eyelash boost serum is a blend of peptides and amino acids. These ingredients are supposed to improve the length, density, quantity, and strength of your eyelashes and eyebrows.
How do you use the eyelash serum?
The company suggests that you use the product on your upper and lower eyelashes daily. I used the product every night before bed during my nightly skincare routine (after serums, but before moisturizer and oil). It comes in a mascara type tube and it is SUPER easy to swipe on. The website indicates that you should start seeing results in approximately 60 days.
Did the product work?
I have used this product for approximately 75 days and I am very happy with the results. I KNOW my eyelashes still are not very long, but there was next to nothing before. While I can tell a difference in the length (and my husband did too), the biggest difference is in the fullness. There are so many more eyelashes than there were before. The eyelash serum contributes to the health of your eyelashes so they fall out less frequently.
Is it worth it?
The eyelash serum is easy to apply and I did not experience any negative side effects, even with sensitive skin (except the time I accidentally poked myself in the eye with the wand!). In order to maintain the look of my eyelashes, I will have to continue using the product. Fingers crossed that they get longer and fuller. The $38 price point is much more affordable compared to other serums that are $100+. The eyelash serum can also be purchased in a duo with the Dime Beauty mascara, which is supposed to further accentuate your lashes. I actually just received this product in the mail TODAY, so I’m excited to give it a try. I’ve tried several Dime Beauty products over the past few months, and a couple of them have become winter time FAVORITES.
For me, this eyelash serum is definitely WORTH IT. I love that the product is clean, vegan, and cruelty free and I am satisfied with the results and price point. I highly recommend trying this serum if you want to strengthen and lengthen those lashes! Use discount code “first” to receive 25% off of your first order.
